Role of Accounting

Sound decisions made by individuals, businesses, governments, and other entities in a society are essential for the efficient distribution and use of the nation"s scarce resources. To make such decisions, these groups need reliable information, mostly financial and provided by the accounting system. Therefore, accounting plays an important role in our economic and social system and its function is vital to both a profit-seeking enterprise and e not-for-profit one.

برای توزیع و استفاده موثر از منابع کمیاب ملی، تصمیمات دقیق افراد، شرکتها، دولتها و بقیه نهادهای جامعه ضروری به نظر میرسد.برای گرفتن تصمیماتی از این قبیل، این گروهها نیاز به اطلاعات قابل اطمینانی دارند که این اطلاعات اغلب مالی هستند و توسط سیستم حسابداری مهیا می شوند. بنابراین حسابداری در سیستمهای اجتماعی و اقتصادی نقش بسیار مهمی را بازی می کند و عملکرد آن هم برای شرکتهای تجاری و هم موسسات غیرانتفاعی ضروری است.
